Welcome to The YOU Wedding, the guide for planning the wedding of YOUR Dreams! My name is Laurie Ellen, and I am the founder of The Greenhouse PNOC wedding venue in Orange County, California. I created The Greenhouse PNOC and The YOU Wedding because I believe that a couple's wedding should be a true reflection of who they are.
As a wedding venue owner, I have seen countless couples struggle to find the perfect balance between tradition and personal style. Many feel overwhelmed by the pressure to adhere to certain norms, even if those traditions don't resonate with them. I firmly believe that a couple's wedding day should be a celebration of their love, not a performance for their guests. That's why I created The Greenhouse PNOC and The YOU Wedding, to help you, the couple, focus on who you are and what you want out of your wedding.
In these pages, you will find practical guidance for how to dream, compromise, set boundaries, and ultimately create a wedding that reflects your unique style and values, the wedding of your dreams. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I hope that The YOU Wedding will be a source of inspiration and guidance for all those who seek to celebrate their love in a way that truly reflects who they are.
Laurie Ellen is the founder of the award wining and frequently published wedding venue, The Greenhouse PNOC, in Orange County, California. She also founded and runs Becoming a Cupcake, a woman-led non-profit that provides start-up funding and business mentoring to survivors of trafficking. Prior to venturing into the wedding industry, Laurie Ellen was a lawyer, an aid worker, an HR Exec, and probably ten other titles she's forgetting. She created The Greenhouse PNOC and The YOU Wedding because she believes that a couple's wedding should be a true reflection of who they are. If you enjoy delving into your spirituality and the meaning of life, but yawn at the thought of dusty commentaries and cold theological libraries, then you've found the right book! This quirky juxtaposition of "heavy religious doctrine" and beautiful childlike illustrations wonderfully forced me to see both in a new light, and to better appreciate that the first is truly beautiful and the second is truly deep.
Laurie Ellen's message ultimately resonates because it stems from a sincere passion to share something she knows to bring beautiful life-change. I hope that Molly's illustrations will get the stage they deserve sometime soon with a printed edition.

Toast! A Children's Book for an Adult
Many years ago I wrote Toast! for one of my very dear friends. She is literary, well-traveled, loves art, and has an affinity for children's books, activities, and movies. (I once frolicked in an orchard where Anne of Green Gables could have been penned - all at the behest of this delightful friend.) I wanted to share my faith with her via a book but nothing was quite playful or thoughtful enough. So I wrote one that I hoped would be worthy of her. Enjoy Toast!
